Terms of Service

Welcome to GameBox Retro Emulator ("GameBox" or the "App"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and BinTech ("we", "our", or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using GameBox via Google Play, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not install or use the App.
1 Software License & Usage Scope
- Universal Emulation Frontend: GameBox is an open-source frontend and software emulation utility. BinTech grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes only.
- Restrictions: You shall not reverse engineer, decompile, redistribute modified versions, or commercialize unauthorized distributions of GameBox.
2 User Compliance & ROM Legality
- No Bundled Commercial ROMs: GameBox contains, provides, hosts, or distributes NO copyrighted commercial game ROMs or proprietary BIOS files whatsoever.
- Legitimate User Backups Only: You affirm and warrant that any game ROMs or backups loaded into the App are legitimate personal archival copies legally dumped from physical game cartridges you personally own. You assume all legal liability for files you supply.
- Intellectual Property Compliance: Using the App to infringe upon trademarks, copyrights, or patents of Nintendo, SEGA, Sony, Capcom, or any third party is strictly prohibited.
3 Intellectual Property & Trademark Disclaimer
- BinTech Proprietary Rights: The codebase architecture, user interface styling, brand marks, and website assets are proprietary to BinTech.
- Non-Affiliation Trademark Notice: All console trademarks (NES, Famicom, Game Boy, GBA, Mega Drive, SNES, PlayStation, Xbox, etc.) referenced in the App or documentation are registered trademarks of their respective owners. Their mention is purely for factual, nominative compatibility description. GameBox and BinTech are completely unaffiliated with, and unendorsed by, these trademark holders.
4 Official Distribution & Security Warnings
- Google Play Distribution: The only official, verified release of GameBox is distributed through the Google Play Store.
- Third-Party Unofficial Builds: BinTech accepts no responsibility for security compromises, modified malware, or performance degradations caused by APKs downloaded from unverified third-party websites or mirror repositories.
5 Disclaimer of Warranties
- Provided "AS-IS": To the fullest extent permissible by applicable law, GameBox is provided "AS-IS" and "AS-AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory (including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose).
- Compatibility: We do not guarantee 100% compatibility with every proprietary ROM or customized controller hardware.
6 Limitation of Liability
- In no event shall BinTech be liable for any indirect, special, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of game data, corrupt save states, or hardware malfunctions arising from the use of the App.
7 Modifications & Contact
- BinTech reserves the right to revise these Terms at any time. Revisions will be posted here on our website.
